Hurricane Response

Tropical Storm Idalia is approaching the Florida coastline from the West and is expected to make landfall as a Hurricane - https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

Tampa International Airport will suspend all commerical operations beginning at 12:01am Tuesday. The Airport anticipates reopening Thursday morning.

Due to return a vehicle? In previous hurricane responses, the rental companies have waivered rental extension fee's provided the vehicle is returned once the airport reopens. If you retain the vehicle longer, the rental companies may charge you the rental extension fee for all additional days.

Rental companies have previously removed one way rental fee's if you would prefer to return the vehicle to an alternative office.

We have yet to receive any formal notification from any of the rental companies at this time so the above information is based on previous storms.

Due to collect a vehicle? Once the airport closes, so will the vehicle rental desks. You will be unable to collect the vehicle whilst the location is closed.

If your flight is diverted to a different airport, it is imperative that you email us asap so we can liaise with the rental companies and amend your reservation. Rental companies at alternative locations will be extremely busy and may run low of vehicles. When this happens, they will prioritise customers who have a vehicle booked for collection from that location. When emailing us, please be concise with the following information:
